MNEXT conducts various research projects and aims to develop an AI-driven knowledge environment where research results and insights are collected, organized, and made accessible to internal and external users, such as companies, professionals, and educational institutions. The design and implementation of this environment will be based on the findings and recommendations of the intern.
Assignment Description
During this internship, you will have the opportunity to explore how an AI environment can be optimally utilized for knowledge management and accessibility. This includes analyzing user needs, researching technological options, and developing a prototype. Multiple implementation options will be evaluated during the research, including accessibility (open or restricted), AI functionalities, and security.
Tasks
Research:
- Identifying user needs and requirements from both internal (MNEXT) and external stakeholders.
- Analyzing different implementation options, such as:
- Open vs. restricted knowledge environments.
- Application of AI technologies for search functionality, categorization, and data visualization.
- Infrastructure options (cloud-based vs. on-premises).
- Security and privacy considerations.
- Investigating best practices in comparable knowledge environments.
Technical Development:
- Designing and developing a prototype for the AI knowledge environment.
- Implementing AI functionalities, such as semantic search and data visualization.
Reporting and Recommendations:
- Documenting research findings and substantiated choices.
- Providing recommendations for further development and implementation of the AI knowledge environment.
Desired Outcomes
- A comprehensive analysis of implementation options and their associated pros and cons.
- A functional prototype of the AI knowledge environment with basic features.
- A report with recommendations for implementation, including technical, organizational, and security aspects.
Desired Profile
Educational Background:
- Business IT & Management,
- Data Science & Artificial Intelligence,
- Or related programs with a strong focus on AI.
Skills:
- Solid knowledge of AI technologies and applications (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing, data visualization).
- Experience in programming (preferably Python, R, or other data science tools).
- Basic knowledge of UX/UI design is a plus.
Competencies:
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive attitude.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
