Inauguration Saleh Mohammadi

Our world’s transition to cleaner energy has reached a critical juncture, as industries worldwide seek innovative, scalable solutions to meet stringent decarbonization goals. Hydrogen and emerging energy carriers—such as ammonia, methanol, iron, and LOHCs—are increasingly recognized as essential solutions for reducing emissions in sectors where direct electrification falls short.

Location St. Joost School of Arts and Design

Saleh presents his Inaugural Speech, titled:
“Charting a Low-Carbon Future: The Rationale for Hydrogen and Emerging Energy Carriers”

During his speech, he highlights the urgency of transitioning from fossil fuels to renewable solutions, discusses hydrogen’s crucial role in heavy industry, transportation, and energy storage, and shows how emerging carriers—such as ammonia, methanol, and LOHCs and iron—can help decarbonize hard-to-abate sectors, drawing on real-world case studies and pilot projects. He concludes by sharing the Renewable Energy Carriers Research Group’s vision, ambitions, and strategic objectives for the coming years.
