Research groups

Research groups play a crucial role within MNEXT. They serve as a bridge between theory and practice, driving and conducting practice-oriented research. But what does this actually involve?

Team

A research group consists of a research professor, teacher-researchers, researchers, and students. The research professor is an expert in a specific field and leads the group’s research activities. The goal of a research group is to address practice-oriented challenges through applied research. This means that the research outcomes are directly applicable in practice and contribute to innovation and improvement across various sectors. Through close collaboration with businesses, governments, and other organizations, research groups ensure that research questions are relevant to real-world needs and that solutions can be implemented effectively.

Integration into Education

Students also play an active role in the research. They contribute to projects, conduct experiments, and analyze data. This not only provides valuable learning experiences but also brings fresh perspectives and innovative solutions. The results of practice-oriented research are integrated into the curriculum, enabling students to learn from current and relevant case studies and research findings. This directly connects their education to real-world applications and helps address societal challenges such as the energy transition and the development of biobased materials.
