A composite is a material that is made up of various components. With biocomposite, that composite material is made from natural raw materials. It consists of vegetable fibers bound by a resin. Think of fibers such as flax, jute, hemp or wood fiber. A vegetable resin can be used as the resin. Biocomposites are composites in which at least 30% of the components are biobased.
