ONLINE TEASER & PHYSICAL CONFERENCE
After the successful previous editions, Hasselt University (Belgium) is honored to host and organize the HIGHER EDUCATION SUMMIT in 2021 and 2022 together with the COPERNICUS Alliance. Due to the uncertainty about the Covid-19 pandemic, we decided early on that we would hold the summit in 2021 online and design it as a teaser for a physical conference in 2022. The online teaser on 9 December 2021 will be a “warm-up” for the physical conference, which will take place from 6-8 September 2022 in Hasselt, Belgium.
During the online teaser on 9 December 2021, we will discuss and debate a whole afternoon about what the future could look like, how we can adapt to make it happen and how education can foster this. Kate Raworth, Mamphela Ramphele and Garry Jacobs will be attending our online event! They will provide pre-recorded speeches beforehand, so that you can participate in the interactive live keynote sessions with them well prepared.
In addition we will offer interactive digital workshops and interesting short videos. At the end, various (local) actors from society (students, professors, companies, organizations, etc.) will be brought together for a live debate about issues raised and insights provided in our local, cosy studio in Hasselt, Belgium.
From 6-8 September 2022, Hasselt University will open its doors for a three-day physical conference in Belgium. Take your diary and mark the dates in the color of your favorite doughnut! Be prepared for a summit full of interesting plenary sessions and keynotes, interactive workshops, inspiring talks, onsite excursions, lots of networking opportunities and much more!
