Launch of the JTF Project C-Recycle

Innovation and Education in Chemical Recycling

We are proud to announce the launch of the Just Transition Fund (JTF) project C-Recycle – Centre for Chemical Recycling Education and Research. The project partners focus on the transition from a linear chemical industry to a circular chemical industry in the region west North-Brabant. Through the development of advanced chemical recycling technologies and extensive education and training programs, we are moving towards a sustainable future.

What is C-Recycle?

C-Recycle is an ambitious initiative aimed at strengthening the regional chemical workforce through education and training. The project involves updating and expanding the chemical recycling curriculum for various educational levels, providing On-the-Job Training (OJT) for students, job seekers, and employees, and facilitating innovation through practice-oriented research and collaboration between academic institutions and businesses. Additionally, we aim to share knowledge and experiences with companies and the general public to raise awareness and acceptance of chemical recycling.

Benefits for businesses

C-Recycle offers unique opportunities for businesses in the region. Innovation managers can benefit from direct access to the latest technologies by collaborating with leading academic institutions and using state-of-the-art labs. This enables companies to be involved in the development and implementation of innovative chemical recycling techniques, such as pyrolysis and solvolysis. Moreover, businesses gain access to a pool of well-trained professionals skilled in the latest methods, contributing to talent development within the sector. Participation in exclusive networking events and conferences provides companies with opportunities to collaborate with other stakeholders and stay informed about the latest developments. The project also offers comprehensive support to start-ups and entrepreneurs with innovative ideas, including workshops, pitch competitions, and assistance in developing business plans.

Opportunities for students and teachers

For students and teachers, C-Recycle offers a wide range of opportunities to engage in the future of chemical recycling. Students can benefit from a renewed curriculum that integrates the latest developments, with a strong focus on both technology and sustainability. Through On-the-Job Training (OJT) and participation in research projects in the laboratories, students gain valuable experience that prepares them for a successful career in green chemistry. Teachers and job seekers can participate in research projects, as well as specialized workshops and training sessions to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Join Us!

We invite companies, students, educators, and other interested parties to participate in C-Recycle. Together, we can contribute to a sustainable future and transform the chemical industry. Interested parties can contact Jappe de Best for more information.
