Over the past year, work has been underway to establish a small hydrogen-driven smart grid within the HyUSE project. In this smart grid, hydrogen and renewable energy sources play a key role in creating a sustainable environment for man and machine.
During this Lunch & Learn session, Sander van Gameren and Jeroen van Gerwen from the Renewable Energy Carriers research group will share their insights about the HyUSE project and discuss the challenges encountered in the energy and materials transition. They will address questions such as: “How do technologies like fuel cells, solid oxide systems, and model-based control contribute to this system?” and “Is such a network practically feasible?” Additionally, they will highlight the role of education in this transition and the connection with projects like Brains4Buildings.
