Looking for knowledge about the biobased economy? Or want to contribute to the development of new knowledge? CoE BBE contributes to more than 50 research projects, all of which add to the treasure trove of new knowledge concerning the bio-based economy. With input from researchers, lecturing researchers and students, we help companies and government agencies investigate and realise biobased innovations. Lecturing researchers are indispensable for this research. Our research groups provide you with the opportunity to carry out research on real-life topics in a biobased environment.

Professorships
We conduct research from the lectorates, also known as research groups. Each lectorate consists of a lector, lecturer-researchers, researchers and students. We translate the results from research projects into educational material so that the content is in line with the needs of (future) biobased professional practice. We strive for a continuous commitment of lecturers and students in current research, led by companies with concrete questions, and quality assured by a correct methodological design of the research projects. Within the CoE BBE there are four lectorates, namely Biobased Building, Biobased Products, Biobased Energy and Marine Biobased Specialties. We also work closely with the Biobased Art & Design research group at AKV St. Joost.
