Research groups

Research is carried out by the various research groups, each consisting of a professor, lecturing researchers, researchers and students. We translate the results of our research projects into teaching content that fits the needs of biobased professional practice, now and in the future. 

In our ongoing research, which is driven by companies with actual questions, we strive for continuous input from lecturers and students; the correct project methodology ensures quality. There are 7 research groups at MNEXT: Biobased Construction, Biobased Building Blocks & Products, Biobased Resources & Energy, Biobased Transitions, Smart Energy, Renewable Energy Carriers and Marine Biobased Chemistry. We also work closely with the research group Biobased Art & Design at the St. Joost School of Fine Art and Design.
